Apache Atlas: update one more entities

AtlasClientV2#updateEntities method is used to update one or more entities.

 

Example

AtlasEntitiesWithExtInfo entitiesToUpdate = new AtlasEntitiesWithExtInfo();
entitiesToUpdate.setEntities(Arrays.asList(atlasEntity1, atlasEntity2));
atlasClient.updateEntities(entitiesToUpdate);

Find the below working application.

 

Create atlas-application.properties file under src/main/resources folder.

atlas.client.connectTimeoutMSecs=30000

Define UpdateEntitiesDemo class.

Run above application, you will see below message in console.

 

Please enter any input to update the entities. Before this, you can go and validate the created entities of type DemoType9

 

Before you enter anything in the console window, I would request you to query the type ‘DemoType9’ in Atlas UI and confirm that entities are created.





Let’s go back to the java application console and type something to proceed with updation of entities.



Value of ‘a’ is updated to 11111.



Value of ‘b’ is updated to 11111.
