Spring data jpa: deleteAll: Delete multiple entities

CrudRepository provides ‘deleteAll’ method, it is used to delete multiple entities.

void deleteAll(Iterable<? extends T> entities)
Delete given entities.

Example
Employee emp1 = Employee.builder().firstName("Ram").lastName("Gurram").build();
Employee emp2 = Employee.builder().firstName("Joel").lastName("Chelli").build();
Employee emp3 = Employee.builder().firstName("Gopi").lastName("Battu").build();

Employee persistedEmployee1 = employeeRepository.save(emp1);
Employee persistedEmployee2 = employeeRepository.save(emp2);
Employee persistedEmployee3 = employeeRepository.save(emp3);

long totalEmployees = employeeRepository.count();

System.out.println("Total Employees : " + totalEmployees);
System.out.println("Deleting persistedEmployee2 and persistedEmployee3");

employeeRepository.deleteAll(Arrays.asList(persistedEmployee2, persistedEmployee3));
totalEmployees = employeeRepository.count();

Step 1: Create model class Employee.

Step 2: Create EmployeeRepository interface like below.

Step 3: Create ‘application.properties’ file under src/main/resources.
