In
this tutorial series, our main focus is on developing ABAP programs using ABAP development tools.
There
are many Development tools provided by ABAP workbench, but most of the times,
you do not require all of them. Below list summarizes most frequent and
important tools used by the developers while working with ABAP Applications.
a. ABAP Editor: Used to
create, edit and run the programs
b. Screen Painter: Used
to develop the screens
c. Web Dynpro Explorer:
To build Web Applications
d. ABAP Dictionary: To manage databases
e. Function Builder: To
build function modules
f. Class Builder: To
maintain classes
g. Gate way Service
Builder: To publish web services
h. Enhancement
Framework: To enhance SAP modules.
