Two-factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication adds one more lever of authentication to Single factor Authentication (SFA). We can’t guarantee that two-factor authentication solves all problems, but two-factor authentication somehow mitigates the attacks.

How two-factor authentication works?
In two-factor authentication, user authenticate two times, one is using his/her id and password, another one is using a physical token, such as a card, one time password, voice reorganization, finger print etc.,

The common example is bank transactions, whenever you want to transfer money to other accounts,
a.   First you login to the bank site using your username and password. This is first level of authentication.
b.   Before transferring money, you will get OTP (one time password) to your mobile.
