Install and Uninstall plugins in Jenkins

Install new plugin

Open Jenkins home page

Click on ‘Manage jenkins’ tab available in left side.

Click on ‘Manage Plugins’.

Click on ‘Available’ button to list down all the available plugins. Since there are many plugins available, you can filter the plugins by typing name of the plugin in the Filter box.

For example, I want to check for cucumber plugin, so I typed the string ‘cucu’ and press enter, it list down all the pluging that has word ‘cucu’ in it.

Select the plugin to install, and proceed with installation.

There are two options available to install.

a.   Install without restart

b.   Download now and install after restart

You can choose any option. I selected ‘Cucumber’ plugin and click on ‘Install without restart’ button.

Page is redirected to Installation page.

If Jenkins face, any errors while installation, it will display in the same page.

Uninstall plugin

Open Jenkins home page

Click on ‘Manage jenkins’ tab available in left side.

Click on ‘Manage Plugins’.

All the installed plugins are listed under ‘Installed’ tab.

Select the plugin and click on uninstall button.
