Find out process id of an application

How to get process id of the application in Windows?

Windows provides ‘Resource Monitor’ application to identify process ids.

There are couple of ways to open Resource monitor.

a.   Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Resource Monitor

b.   Open command prompt and execute resmon.exe

c.   Open Run prompt (Windows + R), execute resmon.exe.

Resmon.exe shows below user interface. You can get the process id of an application from this interface.
